- For a bit of calm after the bustling city of Athens visit Varoulko Situated in the beautiful marina Mikrolimano where you can enjoy a great view out to sea while feasting on some of the best seafood. The food is quite formal but not too fussy while the restaurant is relaxed.
- Head Chef Lefteris Lazarou worked on ships from the age of 15 with his farther and travelled the world creating culinary dishes for his clients. In 1987 tired with kitchens that were endlessly being rocked by the waves he opened Varoulko on dry land, to create the perfect venue for fine dining with sea views. In 2002 he was the first chef to be awarded with a Michelin star serving Greek food in Greece.
- Varoulko is all about seafood with dishes made entirely from ingredients that are available daily at the local markets. The food really is sensational but simple at the same time with dishes such as fish roe dip, Greek salad and smoked octopus.
